The one in the foreground is that of Alfred and Elizabeth Longsdon (built c1892-3, designer unknown); the one in the background is that of Edmund Distim Maddick (built 1931, designer unknown). West Norwood Cemetery is one of the ?Magnificent Seven? cemeteries founded in the early 19th century to deal with the expanding population of London. It was opened in 1837. It has 65 Grade II and Grade II* listed monuments. |
