| Name | The old quarry face at Tormore |
| Distance | 0.23 miles from PA66 |
| Description | A beautiful red granite and quite unusual. A block of this stone can be seen in The Stones of Scotland in Regent Road Park, near the Scottish Parliament. It is also featured in Lighthouses, Bridges and many, many buildings around Britain including Manchester Town Hall and St Georges Hall, Liverpool as well as the Albert Memorial in London. The farthest flung use of this prince of granite that I know of is the Eric Liddell Memorial in China. |
