| Distance | 0.14 miles from NR28 9AT |
| Description | The museum > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1328854 is housed in a former goods shed in the station yard. Used for both work and pleasure, the motorbike was a common sight on Britain's roads by the 1900s, with the 1930's perhaps being the heyday of the British motorcycle industry. Only a handful of companies survived the 2nd World War. The Norfolk Motorcycle Museum with its extensive collection of pre-war motorbikes gives an insight into the history of the motorcycle industry. Many motorcycles were given to help towards the war efforts to be recycled for the production of armaments, and not many machines from that time have survived to become collectors items. The Norfolk Motorcycle Museum has an ongoing policy of restoration and repair. http://www.thanetonline.com/RamsgateMotorMuseum/norfolk_motorcycle_museum.htm - http://www.mc-museum.freeserve.co.uk/bikelist.htm |
