| Description | A strange airfield - most airfields are strictly out of bounds and surrounded by barbed wire fences. This airfield was protected with numerous signs warning that transgressing across the yellow line was dangerous. The line was tenuous at best at times. Outside the line, the area was known as Kenley Common. Inside - Kenley airfield where gliders could be seen landing! |
