Description	Granta housing society development in Queensway just off the Trumpington Road. These are pleasant but small flats. The ones at the back have a view over allotments and Hobson's and Vicar's Brooks. Hobson's Brook and Vicar's Brook (both names require apostrophes) are separate watercourses (though behind these flats they run parallel and only a short distance apart). Vicar's Brook is a natural stream which flows under the Trumpington Road and then into the River Cam. Hobson's is an artificial channel constructed to bring water into the city from the Nine Wells; it flows in open channels along both sides of Trumpington Street and formerly also fed a public fountain in the market place (now resited to the corner of Brookside (see various other photos in this square and TL4457).
