Description	I worked for Midland Bank HSBC for 32 years and spent all but the last two in Birmingham Branches. I am photographing all the branches,or what's left of them, as they were when I joined Midland Bank in 1963. The branches all start with the sorting code 40-11-XX This is the 1101 Warwick Road site as occupied by Midland Bank in 1963. The sorting code is 40-11-01 and it had a sub-branch at Tyseley. The "shadow" left by the bank's sign can still be seen on the brickwork. The bank, as HSBC, now operates from the other side of the road.
